Kelly Bileddo launched her career more than 17 years ago as a 19-year-old single mom; she is keenly aware of the need to balance passion for the craft with business savvy. Kelly’s career and business changed dramatically after graduating from barbering school in 2015, bringing droves of male clients into her already successful business and clientele.
Kelly has always had an intuitive creativity when it came to haircutting, but this skill really blossomed with her new barbering talents. “There’s something about a men’s cut that’s more complicated and intricate. The way that I see men’s hair is different than a woman’s. It has helped me to excel in creating the perfect haircut for a gentleman.”
Her salon, Salon Antebellum in St. Louis, has experienced exponential growth since its opening in 2012, earning accolades along the way. Today, Kelly’s salon is a million-dollar business and employs over 20 stylists. Kelly also gives back to the industry by taking students straight from cosmetology school and mentoring their careers. Salon Antebellum has also been named “Best in Bridal” and “Top Ten Hair Salons in St. Louis”.
Kelly’s passion and talents have made her life-long dreams come to life. She has performed and taught on stages around the world, worked backstage on NY Fashion Week, LA Fashion Week, and behind the scenes on Real Housewives.“As I see it, learning, opportunities and experiences are a continuous part of life. We never stop learning and should never be closed to new experiences. You never know what life has in store for you.”
